In California, Santa Clara University, the University of Redlands, UC Riverside, San Diego State, the University of San Diego (the private school), and Pepperdine are all strong in both business and english.

In Indiana, Indiana U and Notre Dame top the list of best business schools. Both have decent English departments as well. Other Indiana schools that are strong in both subjects: Butler University, St. Mary-of-the-woods College, Taylor University, and the University of Evansville. If female, St. Mary's in Notre Dame is good for both. Earlham has a very good english department but no business major per-se, although it does have an economics major.
