Help me guys!! I have to send my housing preference form back tomorrow, as it takes a week to get there from England (where I live).... so I need some advice on the best residence halls at University of Wisconsin in Madison!!!

Elizabeth Waters is all women, so that's out of the question! I don't like the look of the high-rise ones.... but someone help me out...

For a little info on myself- I'm kind of a party girl and will be interested in joining a sorority, So I like to be around lots of people but wanna be in the more picturesque area.

So can anyone advise me on the best residence halls!?! I'll be a freshman by the way..

reply here or email me jenni.haughton@blueyonder.co.uk

Thanks guys!!

Lakeshore or Chadbourne. Stay away from the southeast dorms if possible. They are getting old and will be demolished soon.

The Lakeshore dorms are smaller and are in a very pretty area of the campus. However, they are not as close to everything as the southeast dorms. You will either be doing a lot of walking or taking the shuttle bus. The southeast dorms are considered the party dorms. Chadbourne is a learning community and is in a great area. The students who live there tend to be a bit more serious.

You might also look at the private dorms. Many of them are near frat row and nicer than school dorms.
