i want to transfer to a good school closer to my home in MN. i would have loved to go to Northwestern but they turned me down last year. I'm currently trying to get into Washington University but it's also a stretch. Anyoen have any other suggestions of schools close to MN? It would help for it to have a business school.

-p.s. it CAN be a little further east than the midwest, but it really needs to be worth it.

University of Indiana - Bloomington has a good business school as does the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. I don't know that much about the business school at UW-Madison but that is a very strong school too and as a Minnesota resident you can pay in-state tuition.

If you are eventually planning on an MBA an undergraduate business degree is not necessary. Economics, history, psychology, english, math and other degrees do not inhibit ccorporate employment. This means that great liberal arts schools like Macalester, St. Olaf, Grinnell, Lawrence, Kenyon et al are also options, though they accept far fewer transfers than the larger universities.

Uof chicago may not have an undergrad business school and it's too hard to get in to. UofM's business school is also very selective and would be too much of a stretch as well unfortutely.

I may give madison a shot, but both it and Indiana dont accept you into their busines school directly, so it's sort of a risk going there, as you could get stuck.

UW-Madison sounds perfect for you.

yeah, it's a little on the large side but i would have liked to go there. I even heard they dont have a language requirment, and i would get reciprocity since i'm from minnesota.

sadly, for some ludicrous reason they had a transfer deadline of a feb 1 :(.
