Hello!
Hopefully someone can help me. I am looking for a university that offers a very strong Germanic Studies program with a language emphasis for not only German, but also Dutch and Yiddish.
Also, I want to major in book arts. I am having a very hard time finding a school with an adequate printmaking studio as well as having courses on typography and lettersetting.
I would prefer to go to a liberal arts college that is not very large, and values a strong study abroad program. I would hope to find this school in a rural setting, but within a close proximity to a city that is alive with music.
I think a diverse student population is important, as well as having abudant opportunities for activities on campus.
And I would like there to be a very good chance of completing classes not within my specific field.
It would mean so much if someone could help me!
Thank you!

Brown might be a good possibility - they have exchange programs with Rhode Island School of Design that would give you the art side and they have a good German department as well. Also, look at what is available at Syracuse, Skidmore and possibly Middlebury.

Wisconsin Madison offers outstanding programs in both areas.
