3.6 unweighted, 4.6 weighted, top 12%
1390 SAT (700M 690V)
750 Bio, 700 Chemistry, 710 Physics, 710 Writing
AP’s 10th grade: AP European History (4 on exam)
AP’s 11th grade: AP English III, AP American History, AP Art History, AP Chemistry
AP’s 12th grade: AP Biology, AP Spanish Language, AP World History, AP Psychology, AP English IV
All honors and AP courses in high school
EC’s: Vice-president of a club, treasurer of a club, very active member in American Technology Honors Society, 150 hours of bio research at a community college, 250 hours community service, job 8 hours a week, member of a few other clubs
Other: I only had a 3.4 at the end of sophomore year but I am only pulling one B this year so my GPA will be around a 3.6 unweighted. I go to a really competitive high school and that’s why my rank is low. I got two C’s on sophomore year in honors English and honors algebra 2. I'm a really good essay writer so I think I'll have good essays, and my REC's will probably be good. I’m obviously a junior now…
I want research schools with good biochem/bio/chem programs... I <3 Cornell but I don't think I can get in and I want some other suggestions!
A list of matches/safeties/reaches would be great...
P.S. - I really don't want any LAC's...

Well first of all you have a wonderful well rounded list of things you do, and your test scores are good, so i wouldn't worry too much about 2 C's. I think most colleges are probley tired of looking at the "perfect person" (no offence to anyone, because i know it takes a lot of hard work to be perfect at school). I am just saying that most colleges dont want you to be perfect they just want you to work hard, which we can see you have. Also i think that colleges will look more at your overall grades verses a grade you got in one class, one quarter. So with all your positive things in your favor you should probley get into just about anywhere you want to go, or you have a very good chance.

Wisconsin has one of the top bio and biochem programs in the US--and it is a fun school with a great campus/town.
