hey..im a junior in a competitve public high school..just starting to look into colleges.. Ive been studying japanese in high school since 7th grade...This past summer i lived in japan for 3 weeks..it was an amazing experience and ever since then..i wanted to study japnese in college... The thing is my family also thinks that i should study chinese..considering they do share some similarities..and my family is under the impression that with chinese and japanese would be a great asset for me when i go out into the world...Alot of my family also went to upenn.. the only thing is doubt i can get in..and their kind of pushing for me to go..i was wondering what are some schools that are known for their foreign language department especially in Japanese and Chinese..my stats are..should have a 3.6-7 (Unweighted)..690 world history sat 2..taking writing..and us history this year..not sure about sat or psat (didnt take yet..getting tutored now)..alot of extracuriculars (newspaper, foreign language magazine, teaching japanese to elementary school kids, social studies magazine, peer tutor, japanese club).. in the national honor society, social studies honor society, foreign language honor society, and english honor society..over 300 volounteer hours..most challenging courses..i think im in top 10-15% of class..and thats about it..any input would help..thanks
