My D is also interested in international relations. She applied to George Washington U. and American U. in DC., as well as UMass, Pitt, and Syracuse. Some other schools that are strong in international studies include College of William & Mary and Johns Hopkins U. Hope this helps.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Tufts. Their IR program is top-notch.

Tufts has without a doubt one of the best, if not the best, IR program in the country. I might be a little biased because I’m going there next year, but the Tufts IR program truly is top-notch

Occidental College has a very interesting interdisciplinary program in Diplomacy and World Affairs.

On the west coast, Stanford, USC, Claremont Mckenna, UC San Diego, and University of San Diego have good IR programs.
