Hey, does anyone know anything about this school? My friend wants me to ask. She just got in (to the private one, i'm not sure if I'm calling it the correct name) and they gave her $7000 a year scholarship, although her SAT is about their average... her grades are good, though. do they give a lot of merit based aid? is this a good school for business/communications? what is the social life like?

I know a bit. They have an excellent business program and in hotel/restaurant management. Most of the liberal arts departments are decent. The administration has made a lot of changes in the teaching level in the past few years and is trying to boost the school's national image. From looking at the school newspaper, it looks like there's a fairly good social life on campus with quite a bit of partying. I've also heard - through the grapevine - that UD tends to attract a high percentage of rich kids who are into skiing more than studying but that's hearsay so I don't know how true it is.
