I'm going to be a transfer student in the Fall of 04, and I've been debating on which school would be best for me. I have a 3.5 GPA, majoring in Business-Marketing, a little older (25) and looking for the college experience that I missed out on when I was younger. I've narrowed my choices down to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, and James Madison University.
I've shown a great deal of improvement regarding grades while in JC, I work full time in sales (which I think has really benefitted me in choosing Marketing as a major), and I am looking for some advice and guidence from those that have researched these schools.
The UW-Madison seems to be exactly the kind of school that I would like to attend. The atmosphere, the well respected faculty, the setting... etc. All in all, it epitomizes the college experience that I am looking for. UMich, is similar in that it has many of the same types of features. Nice campus, social scene, and a good education. The students at UW, at least from what I have read, seem to be a little more down to earth. Which I like better.
However, I needed a safety schol, so I chose James Madison University. From what I have read, it is very much like UW-Madison. The atmosphere, the beautiful campus, the friendly people.. etc. But, it's selective rating is a little lower, and it is not as well known as UW-Madison.
So, what do you guys think about my choices? Are there any other schools I should keep in mind? Do you have first hand experience at these schools that you would not mind sharing? Thanks.

Good choices, Indiana University might be a good alternative to JMU. UW- Madison is very good in marketing--especially research and stats. The people are nice and down to earth as many hold jobs while in school. Lots of older students too.
