Try this link:

http://www.sandiego.edu/ugadmiss/campustour/tour2.html

If the link won't work, go to www.sandiego.edu, and type in "USD Virtual Tour" in the "USD Search" area.

Hope this helps.

I thought of you all when I went to pick up my daughter today. I wish I had a digital camera so I could take pix for you! I think the pictures they have on the web site don't really begin to show what the campus looks like or feels like: there weren't any pictures showing the views over the canyon or out to Mission Bay that the campus has, for example.

One thing my daughter said to be sure to point out to people who can't get a look: while the campus itself is beautiful and immaculately maintained, it is surrounded by a kind of suburban-urban area that includes apartment buildings, stores, and some houses, etc. Not a bad area but not the prettiest part of San Diego either. The campus itself sits on the top of a hill, overlooking Mission Bay as I said. My daughter thought this was important to include in the description of the school. Downtown San Diego - where all the tall buildings are and the harbor - is a 10 minute trolley ride away (have to go down the hill to get to the trolley.) Old Town San Diego, the historic district, where there are shops and restaurants, can be reached by a quick bus trip (the bus stops right in front of campus).Mission Valley - which has large shopping malls and movie theaters - is five minutes away by car, bus or Trolley. My daughter also suggested that if you do visit USD you spend some time and check out Old Town, Balboa Park, downtown San Diego (especially the Gaslamp quarter), and Pacific Beach or Mission Beach (about a 10 minute drive or so from campus) to get an idea of what San Diego is like. She also said be sure not to miss a visit to the immaculata - the church on campus - even if you are not religious. She thinks it is one of the most amazing buildings she's ever been in. Thought I'd pass that along.

thanks a lot

yeah i all ready did the virtual tour, but it just showed buildings, not really any of the campus. i dont know, im just looking for more pictures of anything in general from there. right now, this has changed to my number one school, im in love with the new science center. its phenomonal.

Peterline - I agree: the new science center is phenomenal. And it's beautiful to boot! It sits like a castle on the hill - really an incredible site. It has domes and balconies (we see students out on the balcony all the time - looks like maybe on break from labs or classes) and an incredible view. I am convinced that the science center is going to push USD into the forefront of national attention for its science programs (which were already pretty good before this new facility came out.) I know there's been quite a bit of excitement about the research capabilities in the biotechnology industry here in San Diego.

Peter - Here's a site I just happened on - pictures taken by a USD student. They are much more indicative of what the campus looks like than the photos on the school's web site. Let us know what you think of USD and all the schools you visit in Calif. when you get back!
