I was interested in the Columbia summer program...but apparently my parents don't want me to go there because it's too dangerous or something...so what do you know about:
1. Any programs at Dartmouth?
2. Any programs at Princeton?
3. Is it possible to get into Harvard's summer programs?
4. Any programs at Yale?
I went on Dart, Prince, and Yale's websites and couldn't really find info...
any input would helpp....plus suggest any others.

Both Harvard and Yale have summer progams for High School students. I don't believe Dartmouth or Princeton do. Both the Harvard and Yale programs are very unselective but they will cost you a lot! They start around $6000. I'd recommend getting an internship. In my opinion a summer foreign exchange program would be money better spent.

Cornell has great programs for rising juniors and seniors in Ithaca, a beautiful place to be in the summer...NYC it ain't!
College level classes over 3 or 6 weeks. College credits and transcripts sent to show it to schools you apply to. Grading is said to be as follows:
A or A- : You did A/A- work and deserve the grade
B+: You did commendable work
B: You showed up every day and did most of the basic/required work
C/D/F: What's that?
Cost is about $4,000 for the 3 week program.
Cornell recognizes it has non-legal-age minors in its care and enforces drinking/drug rules tightly. One kid who had been sent to the summer program by his school got caught drinking the very last night of the program and was dismissed...no grade, no credit, etc.
Check out Cornell/Ithaca for summer programs.
It's GORGES!

You can go to the Junior Statemen of America Summer School at Princeton. I did it last year. It was the best academic experience I ever had.
