Columbia I guess.
UCLA and John Hopkins are overshadowed by science majors.

Johns Hopkins is very well known for having a top engineering school, but Cal-Berkely has a great one too. Northwestern is a sleeper: that school has so many great programs (journalism, communications, drama, music, education, sciences) that virtually no one notices that it has a top-15 engineering program. Columbia and UCLA are pretty good too, but those schools are better known for other porgrams ang their engineering programs take a back seat.

UCLA's Engineering School went through something of a slide, imo. I think they will be much better again in about 10 years...the new Dean is very promising.

My dad is a top recruiter for Intel and I can tell you that UC Berkeley is by far the best out of the schools listed above.

Northwestern, easily
They are all very good, but at JHU, its mostly Biomedical Engineering which takes the forefront, and Columbia is really better for its College, not SEAS.

in terms of location, i think columbia is the best. it's on manhattan island, what can be better that that.
otherwise, hopkins, berkeley and northwestern are my top picks
