I'm going to apply to colleges next year so I want to get things straightened out soon. What colleges are really awesome for classics? I really like latin and I guess it's good for grad school.

There are some rankings of classics depts out there, but those are for graduate depts. Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Berkeley all have very highly regarded programs. Bryn Mawr and Brown are two others with excellent reputations. I suggest you contact classics depts at the schools you are interested in attending - esp with some LACs, the depts are not particularly strong, since not many students choose to major in classics. My child is headed to Brown as a prospective classics major (accepted ED), and spoke to the department heads at Brown and Princeton (both of whom were very encouraging based on her Latin background, which includes two years of AP Latin), and also contacted via e-mail other classics depts. Good luck.

Forgot to mention Chicago and Columbia as having good classics programs, too.
