If I want to become a dentist, how many years of education at which types of schools would I need?
And what should be my major and minor?
And, what schools would you recommend for each type of school?

Take a look at http://www.dent.ohio-state.edu/Admissions/requirements.htm; this is info on Ohio State's dental program. Their requirements may be typical of other dental schools. This will give you some idea about undergraduate major/minor.
Apparently, the number of years of education to become a dentist will depend on whether you want to get into general practice or specialize in an area such as dental surgery.
Other than OSU, I can't recommend specific schools, due to lack of familiarity. < commercial URL removed -Admin >

If you go to U of P (University of the Pacific) you can do 3 years undergrad there, and from there, you can go into their Dental School *granted if you get in*. But they tend to like to take people who were in their undergrad class. Otherwise, go to any other school, take pretty much the pre-med courses... and then apply to dental school. As for dental school, it could be 3-4 years just to become a dentist (for many schools this includes summers, meaning you don't have a summer vacation..) From there, you apply for a speciality, which could be anywhere from 3-8 or so years, depending what you wanna specialize in (Orthodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery, etc..) Hope I helped!
