Hi, I applied ED to Colgate. I will know by December 15th if I am accepted.
Today I had my first jazz band rehearsal. This is the first year they are allowing a clarinetist to participate. Rehearsals will be twice a week for a total of about 5 hours a week.
Should I write the adcom's a follow up and tell them that I am in jazz band, or just let it go?

yes, it could, wait until u get a decision first
actually, something similar happened to me. I discovered that my grandfather was on the Harvard Board of Overseers (I'm doing Harvard EA). Of course, I had the fortune of finding out a week and a half ago. I asked my guidance counselor, and she told me that I should not send the letter until they make their decision, because it would be overkill and might get them mad at me.
