The only Top 25/2nd/3rd tier schools I really know anything about (like besides more than a name) are Dartmouth and Vanderbilt. I know Im probally missing out on some great schools, so could anyone list some colleges, discribe them, and possibly give me websites to find further information. I know the perfect college depends on the person, so here are my stats-
1340 SAT/710V/630M (hoping for a 1400 eventually/ 4.11GPA (4.25 or so by grad.)/ will have completed 8 APs by spring 05' calc, stat, lang, lit, us history, bio, chem, and whatever the other history is./SGA, Beta, Jrettes, Quil and Scroll, School news paper, NHS/ varsiy cheer and varsity weightlifting/ will have 100+ hours in a medical setting by spring 05'
The "real" me in a nutshell-
I love to read, and write, chemistry and english are by far my best subjects, and math is the worst, but i still only have a B in calc. I was looking at come classes my state school offers (the school i dont want to go to), and i fell in love with courses such as genetics, infant psycology, and of course all the english and literature courses. As far as my major, Im still undecided between English, Genetics, Biology, or Communication Sciences and Disorders. Any way, I plan on meeting all preMed reguirements and applying to med school. I really want to be a pediatrician, my backup career, because I am aware that I should have one, is maybe being a speech pathologist/audiolgist.
I want a Top25/1st-3rd tier college (that I have a chance of getting in to) with a beautiful campus, medium to large number of people, a wonderful english and science department, and (this is only a bonus, so if your school doesnt, thats okay)-> if I choose that way, genetics as an option for a major.

You might want to look a bit at Kenyon, Davidson, and the University of Chicago. You'd probably have at least a chance at any of them, and they seem to have some of what you're looking for. Other people on here can probably give you far better matches, though.

Tufts does not have genetics, but they do have a child development major, which is among the best in the country. SoozieVT majored in that a few years back; find her for info.
English and chem/bio departments are great. 5,000 students total, pretty campus, and you have a decent chance of getting in.
