In California, first on your list should be USC.
You might also check out the University of the Pacific in Northern Calif. which offers a concentration in entertainment management within its business school.

USC has a good program. If you go to the bottom of the page at www.usc.edu/ and click on Course Catalogue (or just http://www.usc.edu/dept/publications/cat2003/) you can see the options. They have a concentration in the Communication major called Entertainment, Communication, and Society, or a minor of Communication and the Entertainment Industry. If you go to the website you can see the courses offered and the requirements.

If you're willing to go outside of the west/east coasts, Southwest Missouri State University has a huge entertainment management program within its business school that looks very well run. www.em.sm.edu
The University of South Carolina has a sports and entertainment management department as well.

Well, I gave you several school names above. They would all be good backups.

I sent you an email earlier...try Loyola Marymount in LA or Emerson in Boston. Belmont University in Nashville and Loyola New Orleans both offer a Music Business program, as does Berklee in Boston.

Unfortunately, Loyola Marymount doesn't have an entertainment management program. Too bad as its communications and business schools are both excellent. Of course, its location in LA would provide opportunities for internships and such that might be related to entertainment management.

Bluestar86 was looking for a business or communications program with a concentration in entertainment - this doesn't necessarily have to be an entertainment management program. Entertainment can include marketing and production in addition to management. Loyola Marymount definitely has production related majors. For any entertainment related major I personally would choose a less specific major at a school that could offer internship/networking opportunities in an area known for the industry over a specific program in a more obscure location....LA for film and television, Nashville (and maybe New Orleans) for music.
