I am looking for a good liberal arts east coast school with lots of financial aid. I have good grade, class rank, lots of exxtracurriculars, ect. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am on the west coast and the farthest east I have been is Arizona so I really have no idea about east coast schools so anyhelp would be great.

Most elites east coasts LACs are fairly generous with their finaid (need based). If you're looking for merit based aid, there aren't many good schools that offer it.

Amherst, Middlebury, Williams, Wesleyan, Swarthmore, Oberlin, Bowdoin are all schools worth checking out.

Check out my post at "Feel like I'm stuck...". That gives you a list of the schools with lots of merit aid. If you are eligible for financial aid, look for schools that give close to the full amount that your FAFSFA/Profile gives as your need. LACs that gare need blind and meet full need are Amherst, Barnard, Bates, Bowdoin, Holy Cross, Columbia, Dartmouth, Davidson, Duke, Havorford, Goucher, Hampshire, Middlebury, St Joun;s in NY, Trinity, Swarthmore, Wellesley, Wesleyan, Williams.
There are many others that are not need blind but give good aid packages to highly desireable students . Some are: Allegheny College, bryn Mawr, Bucknell, Catholic, Colby, Colgate,Connecticut College, Franklin & Marshall, Hamiltion, Johns Hopkins, Lehigh, Mt. Holyoke, Oberlin, St Lawrence U, Sarah Lawrence, Skidmore, Smith, Union, Vassar.
Hope this gives you a start.
