what are the best websites that review colleges? (not princetonreview.com or studentsreview.com, ive already seen those). I am looking more for like pictures of colleges, a sense of what the school is really like

I like www.epinions.com - it is similar to studentsreview.com in that schools are reviewed by students but the reviews are much, much more in depth. Just do a search for the schools you are interested in. However, keep in mind, that the reviews represent only a small fraction of students and so shouldn't be taken as absolute proof of what your experience may be. I find that to reallllly find out the inside scoop about what a particular school is like the best bet is to read back issues of the student newspaper. epinions.com IMO is better than most website's reviews...princetonreview is horrible and studentsreview.com is only ok.
If you're looking for pictures of colleges, most college's websites are loaded with pictures. However, the only true way to see what a school looks like is visiting...I've seen ugly schools look absolutely beautiful in pictures and i've seen beautiful schools look fairly mediochre in pictures. College-produced materials are almost entirely propaganda and the quality of these materials reflects the amount of effort the college went to produce them rather than the actual quality of the college.
