I have applied to the following schools for engineering:
Penn State
Schreyer (Penn State Honors College)
Cornell
UPENN
Northwestern
CMU
JOhn Hopkins
Those schools are all well and good except my parents just told me yesterday that we can't afford any of them besides Penn State/Schreyers! (Starting out, they had told me I could go anywhere I wanted to money-wise) On top of that, they told me I am not allowed to apply to a school that is too far away and by too far away they mean any school outside of a one state radius of Pennsylvania (that includes Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, West Virgina, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersery, and to some extenet Virgina). I need a new list of schools to apply to! Please help!
Here are my stats:
1480 SAT 750 Verbal 730 Math
*I only have one score on the SAT, I retook last week, but I dont know the score yet*
3.9211 GPA on a 4.0 Scale
30/343 Rank
All honors and AP classes in a very prestigious high school
Any help would be appreciated!

UMCP should fit the bill. U of Delaware is ok too. UMBC would be a decent safety.
You could try for some merit $ at smaller private schools like Lehigh, Bucknell, and Stevens.

The University of ILlinois in Urbana-Champaign is kinda far, but it's a state school with a great engineering program that would be worth checking out. www.uiuc.edu
