??????
I don't mean quality-wise.
I mean name-wise, so when employers look at my resume they will go, AH, THAT SCHOOL.

If you wanna go for the name, choose either Columbia, Berkeley, or Medill - all those excepts Medill are grad schools though. As a matter of fact I'm thinking about journalism too. If I could go ANNYWHERE, I'd go Ivy first, then grad school at Columbia. I mean, they invented the Pulitzer after all! Drop me a line at my email and we'll chat about the topic.
Take care,
Dima

Northwestern probably has the best known undergraduate program. But, no one will give you a job in journalism based on the "name" of the program. If you're talking about print journalism, editors will ask to see your clips. Here's my suggestion: Go somewhere where you'll get a chance to write for the campus paper and possibly for local newspapers as well. Take journalism courses, but don't necessarily major in journalism. Major in a language or economics or a science, depending on what type of journalism interests you.

I agree with Sac. If you're thinking of a pursuing journalism as a career, get the best liberal arts education that you can. Then go to graduate school to specialize in print or media journalism. While an undergraduate, work for the school newspaper, but major in history, economics, english, or something that will give you a fundamental understanding of the world.
