I was wondering which school of the following list offers the best Pre-Med program.

SUNY Binghamton
SUNY Stony Brook
Boston University
Brandeis University
University of Miami
Ursinus College

If anyone here could rank these six schools in order, I'd really appreciate it. I was wondering what you all thought.

I don't know much about the other schools on your list, but I can give you some information on University of Miami. They have a pretty reputable med school, and they offer 2 types of BS/MD programs for undergrads, one is 7 years, and the other 6 yrs- quite unusual. The latter has a pretty high requirement, need 1350 SAT, submit 3 SAT II's, required interview, multiple essays, rank to 10% in class, and a GPA requirement (sorry dunno how much it is). They only accept 20 people for this program from what I've heard and you're accepted to both UM undergrad bio, chem, etc., and UM medical at same time.

Thanks a lot.

Does anybody else have any information or can answer my question?

I would think that Brandeis would have the best pre-med programme, unless you are doing into the six or seven year program of UMiami. BU aslo has a great med school.

Brandeis sends a large number of students on to med school each year. BU has a decent reputation for pre-med as well. But so do all of the other schools on your list. One last one you might want to look at besides Ursinus is Juniata College, also in Pa, which has a very good pre-med program.

Anyone else here can maybe give me a possible ranking of the school?

I live near Stony Brook and it has a really great reputation. I can't help you out with any specific rankings but from what I hear, it's one of, if not the, best SUNY school for biology/pre-med.

i live near SUNY stony brook too. and i agree it's got a great premed reputation. but according to wall street journal, brandeis is the best for grad school placement in general. and from us news, binghamton is a better school than stony brook. my friend goes to stony brook (she's premed) and she HATES it, and she can't wait to transfer out.
