Hello. I plan to major in Pharmacy, just like my Parents. Unfortunately, they both went to a university in South Korea, eliminating any special alumni consideration for the United States colleges.
Anyways, what are some of the best pharmacy colleges in the United States that are excellent? I heard Rutgers University was good.
Here are my Stats:
85 Average (3.0 GPA out of 4.0)
Ranked 45/605 (Top 10% in class)
720 Math 590 Verbal (1310 Combined)

If you're looking for a cheaper school (public university) with a solid pharmacy program, consider University of Florida. My cousin is in their program right now and he says it is tough. The program is a rigorous 6 year track in which you bypass any kind of B.S., and directly get a doctor of pharmacy (PharmD). The first 2 yrs are probably the most difficult b/c the track is mostly premed. and you have to cram your schedule to fulfill general university requirement along with the pharmacy school's pre-pharmacy requirements, and the 3-6 yrs are the actual pharmacy schooling.
Also, if you get your SAT up to 1350, you might be eligible for UF Honors College as well. This is probably the most distinguished program they have for freshman and sophmores, u get to live in special dorms, take special classes to fulfill university requirements, and take honors classes restricted to only honors level students

My neighbor's daughter is really doing well and enjoying the Univ. of Arizona's pharmacy school. They also have an honor's college and offer the PharmD.

Just curious, are you majoring in pharmacy because your parents are making you, or is it something that YOU actually want.

Purdue seems to be the second best pharmacy school in the nation. University of California-San Francisco, however, is the number one! UCSF doesn't have a pre-pharmacy program, so if you are looking for a pre-pharmacy program you can't apply there. but you can always apply there after the pre-pharmacy program.
I am currently attending the Ohio State University-Columbus as a BSPS (Bach. of Science-Pharmaceutial Sciences) major. It's among the top ten pharmacy schools in the united states ( that's what I heard).
I just finished my first quarter at the school, and I am satisfied with the education they offer. The school is public, and it's a huge (second biggested in the nation) univeristy, so there are so many options to choose from.
As a BSPS major, I get to actually take some Pharmacy classes (with the professors who teach pharm. D. students) while I am in the pre-pharmacy program, and as an honor student I have an opportunity to do my own research and write thesis after I am done with all the organic chemistry classes.
I am also an international student from Korea, and I think if you have 1310 on the SAT, you qualify to be in the honors program.
I have also heard that U of Michigan (Ann Arbor), University of Wisconsin (Madison) are good pharmacy schools.
