My daughter is also interesetd in studying international relations. She has looked at George Washington U., American, and Catholic U. in the D.C. area, as well as Syracuse and UMass-Amherst. From our research,, other schools that are reported to be strong in international studies include Johns Hopkins U., Georgetown, Tufts, William & Mary, and Middlebury College. Hope this helps.

Smaller schools to check out -- Dickinson, Macalester, Occidental.

I would also look at the University of San Diego (USD).
