y friend has decided to go apply to MIT early his stats :

SAT:1170
GPA:3.2
No honors

He is my frined and i hope he gets in, but he really, really wants to go, what should i tell him, cause he keeps talking to me about how he will like die if he doesnt get in??

You should tell your friend that if he doesn't get in he should still work really hard at whichever college he ends up in. He should take lots of math/science courses and get As in them. Then he should try to transfer into MIT sophomore year.

haha i tried, i went to boston to look at colleges, and i am in the top decile and got a 1450 on the SAT's, and i only saw tufts and BU, i waved hello and goodbye to harvard and MIT, he went and only went to harvard and MIT, i was like, wow thats awsome, but now he is so ophyco about getting in there.
