Connecticut College has a top notch psychology department. It is a small school, so there probably won't be any huge breakthoughs in the field while you're there.

Other possibilities to look at(I hope you don't mind my just listing them): Reed, Boston College, Allegheny College, U of Chicago, Clark U, Connecticut College (already mentioned), Tufts (ditto), Claremont McKenna, Drew U, Earlham, George Washington, Hobart, SUNY Binghamton, NYU, U of Pennsylvania, Pitzer, U of Rochester, Santa Clara U, Union College, Vanderbilt, Vasar, Wake Forest, Wesleyan, U of Wisconsin Madison.

All of these are within your range, although some will be closer to reaches. Good luck.

The important thing in psychology is getting into grad school, since in most states you can't even call yourself a psychologist unless your have a PhD or PsyD. The question to ask of schools is what their acceptance rate is in to grad schools. An opportunity for undergrad research is an asset for grad school admissions.
