Hey guys- I really like these 2 schools, and besides the fact that they're on 2 different sides of the country, can't really decide between them as to which one to apply for early action/early decision. so... whaddya guys think?

Both are incredible academically. Demographics are similar, with perhaps more diversity at Stanford. I'd say, do the ED school (P-ton) because ED tends to raise your chances more.

Wow, very tough decision. If you are totally unsure between the two, do Stanford EA (non-binding). However, going Princeton ED will give you FAR more of an advantage in admissions. EA doesn't help much, but it keeps the options open.

So there you have it -- if you think you might vacillate and do a lot of regretting, do Stanford EA. If you like both about equally, do Princeton ED because that way you have a better shot at at least one.

Warning about Stanford: they are SINGLE CHOICE early action. You can't apply early action or early decision anywhere else if you use this option to Stanford. That is important folks: no early decisions of any type other than Stanford's own decision. Nowhere else.... Went to a presentation recently and a lot of people were turned off by this.

Yale & Harvard are doing the same thing. I welcome the move as a sign of sanity. It doesn't put pressure on the student like ED does but it forces them to choose *which* early app they want to make instead of saying, "All of them."

stanford is better unless u live closer to princeton and dont wanna go too far. but from what i hear stanford is more laid back and fun although everyone is a genius, princeton is more serious, but they do party.
