I have a friend who'd excellent at art and fliming/computer design programs whose looking for a school with strong courses in these fields and related fields. He's having a tough time sifting through all the colleges. Does anyone have any advice or college recs? Thanks~

Penn is broadening its offerings with a Visual Arts Major as well as Fine Arts and Film in the College, but also has Digital Media Design in Engineering, if your friend also likes - seriously likes - programming computers as well as using design progams.

Carnegie Mellon, UCLA -- would have to know more about what schools are within your friend's range and whether he/she wants to be in an art school, a liberal arts college, or a university setting

He should try USC as well. Most schools don't offer a mixed art/film/computer curriculum. UCLA and USC would be the best bet for an undergrad curriculum that he would be interested in. Although, as someone just mentioned, Carnegie Mellon has a good program as well from what I can recall.
