Hi, I'm looking to narrow down my choices in my college search. I've been looking for places where I can get a liberal arts education concentrating in something like political science, but also be able to explore business and engineering education. I want somewhere that is highly regarded acedemically and will educate me but does not have a stress culture. I want to go somewhere with a good student life. I do not want to go anywhere rural.
So far my list includes:
Davidson
Georgetown
Rhodes
Princeton
Franklin and Marshall
Wesleyan
Kenyon
Claremont McKenna
Amherst
Johns Hopkins
Dartmouth
Tufts
University of Virginia
University of Pennsylvania
University of Maryland College Park
Haverford
Swarthmore
Earlham
St. Mary's College of Maryland
Oberlin
Knox
Wooster
Kalamazoo
Reed
Rice
James Madison
Tulane
Any suggestions for other places to look at fitting my criteria, or places I should eliminate from the list I already have?

Have particularly strong political beliefs?
If you're conservative, knock off Oberlin, Swarthmore, Wesleyan, Kenyon, Reed, and Tufts (from most to "least" liberal.)
If you swing to the left, you might want to jettison Davidson, James Madison, and perhaps Dartmouth and Georgetown. They're not quite as extreme, though; I'm a registered Democrat who's applying to Davidson College myself. Maybe that can help pare it down a bit.

Tufts is great with letting liberal arts and engineering students take courses in the other disciplines. Poli sci department is good; international relations is awesome. If you are interested, there is also a dual-degree programme with the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy with engineering: six years, four for the BS in engin., and two for the Fletcher degree.

I go to Franklin & Marshall College now. You will get scholarship money here. We also have a 3-2 engineering program with Columbia, P'ton and a few others. You get a B.A. in a liberal arts field and an engineering degree from whichever school you pursue the joint program with. Frats are huge here, so be prepared to party in basements and get drunk.
