Im looking at colleges that have Aero engineering as well as Air Force ROTC on campus or nearby, and have narrowed my choices down to three colleges for my top choices. US Air Force Academy, Embry-Riddle, and Cal-Poly at San Luis Obispo. Air Force Academy is sort of a long shot, but I am quite sure I could get into Embry-Riddle or Cal-Poly. Of the two, which one is better?

Hey, looking at same. But important to ask Big Question: are you willing to commit to the Air force for a tour of duty should you go there? Military schools are unique in this. We're not so sure about this yet...Cal Poly is out in middle of nowhere. Received cdrom on it. Child looked at it & was miserable. As for EmbryRiddle, you do realize there are 2 campuses, right? Prescott, AZ as well as Daytona, FL. Two are very disparate.
Know I have not answered your question, but hopefully have provided food for thought. We certainly are mulling this over!

For aeronautics, Embry Riddle is the best in terms of overall reputation in the industry. Downside: if you change your mind, you have to transfer. Here are some other schools that have top programs in aeronautics and may also have ROTC (I'm pretty sure Purdue does):
Purdue, Arizona State U, Bowling Green State U, Iniana State U, University of Arizona, niversity of North Dakota, St. Louis University, Western Michigan, Kent State - Ohio, Florida Institute of Technology, Baylor. Good luck.
