hey guys, i live in Alabama right now and am considering applying to Washington University in Seattle. I was just wondering what anyone can tell me about it.......
I won't bother posting my stats b/c i don't have my ACT and SAT score yet, i am, however an "excellent" student lol....
thanks people and if there are any schools you would like to suggest i'm open to them, i hope to go to business school and minor or double major in something else. so far my choices are
1. New York Univeristy and Northwestern
2. Columbia University
3. University of Southern Cali
4. University of Virginia (can't a girl dream!)
5. Auburn University (safety)
6. Emory University
7. University of Pennsylvania-Wharton (definite dream!)
8. Boston University
9. Vanderbilt
okay, i'll stop here.... but i am a junior and i'll need to narrow down my choices...... soon!

Uh...

I live in Washington, and it's called "UW."

University of Washington! You are confusing it with Washington University in St. Louis!

UW is a fairly nice public school. Lots of asians... :)

Are you talking about the University of Washington in Seattle OR Washington University in St. Louis? From your list of schools, I suspect you're talking about Wash U. in St. Louis. They are two VERY different schools: the one in Seattle is a huge, state school. The one in St. Louis is an excellent, medium-sized university. Better let us know which one you're really talking about before we answer your questions (and figure it out before you apply! LOL!).

Hey, I never thought she'd confuse it the other way, good point.

Her list of schools don't match the UW frame either... haha...

Yeah, Washington University in ST. Louis...

hey, a few 2000+ miles, not THAT far off eh?:)

well, I live in Seattle. The campus is very large and right there in the city. The buildings and classes are huge, but also very beautiful. The student body is diverse ethnically, but not geographically. There are great opportunities for research in medicine and science. Look into the university for details. I would recommend the honors program if you do apply. Seattle is a great city. It does not rain as much as most people think. Temps are rarely extreme and the entire city, and state, is covered with trees. Where else can you drive 5 minutes to a nice lake, 20 minutes to the ocean, and 45 minutes to skiing in the mountains??

Washington U in St. Louis is an excellent school. They pride themselves on allowing students to do double majors. Good business programs but huge emphasis on pre-med majors. WUSTL is small enough to allow for some personal attention but has the resources of a large university. The campus is supposedly very beautiful. Unfortunately, the school's application numbers have been way up in recent years, making it very competitive to get into. They receive over 21,000 applicants each year, accept about 4,000. SAT median Verbal scores 640-730, Math 670-740.
