How is CSULB (cal state long beach)? is it a good school? pros/cons? anyone.

It's a big state school of middling academic reputation. Lots of commuter students. Plus the music building is named after Karen and Richard Carpenter.
If it's safety for you, you could probably do better. If it's a match for you, you could probably do worse.

Kids who have attended from our school love the music program (the Carpenter auditorium is a gorgeous place to watch a performance--and you get Carpenter memoribilia in the foyer).
And if you want to be a teacher, you can't go wrong with a Cal State.
