Berkeley is overwhelminly reknown for feeding all top medical schools in the nation, however the class sizes are outrageous, and you're on your own. That said, if you can hack it, you will have one of the top of 5 pre med requirement fulfilled majors in the nation public or private. UCSD is number one in biology bar none also, and less competitive for entrance. Just make sure you perform decently at your choice, not that your choice has a high feed rate ;^)

Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Williams, Amherst all have the best pre-med placements and acceptance rates across country.

WashU, Chicago, Carleton, Oberlin, Pomona, and Berkley are some non-east coast schools that do well.

Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania had a 97% acceptance rate into medical school, according to my guidance counselor. It is also well known for its individualistic approaches and myriad undergraduate research opportunities in the sciences! Definitely consider it, as well as Johns Hopkins U.
