I would like to attend a LAC with small classes and major in either Language Arts or Russian Studies. I hope to pursue my MD afterwards and also need a school with a good track record for pre-med.
I would not qualify for one of the joint BA/MD programs. I'm a good -- but not great -- student. Solid worker, but not gifted. I am enrolled in an IB diploma program and am a high-level athlete in a non-NCAA sport.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.

Actually, I think Amherst has one of the best Russian Studies majors in the country. They have this library devoted to all sorts of Russian related research materials and literature.
