hi, im a sophomore here at elsinore high and i found this site out randomly through a search engine.....

in ucla do they average gpa's from sophomore to senior or overall?

i really messed up on my freshmen year and this sophomore year is going perfectly

hey how about ap classes? u can get a perfect 4.0 without them right? or something else?

This is how the ucla gpa works
IF u study in a ca high school.........
a-4.0: b=3.0 :c-2.....

If your school offers uc approved honors classes( check with your counselor and he/she will tell u which classes are uc approved honors.....) or Ap classes. then the gpa for these classes is 5.0 for a: 4.0 for b and so on

So ap classes are given 1 whole extra point and are quite important
The avg gpa of ucla is 4.21

holy ••••...so ap classes give up extra points to ur gpa? how is that calculated? +1 per ap class?

Yeah + 1 for all ap and uc approved honors classes

You might want to take a look at the UC web site - www.ucop.edu - it details exactly how they compute GPAs of applicants and you can do a search for your school to find out which courses are "UC Approved" (I believe non-uc approved courses are not included in their GPA computation so it's to your advantage to make sure you load up on UC approved ones.)
