I'm in love with Vanderbilt. I'm looking for more schools that are like Vanderbilt to apply to. Just to give you an idea, Vanderbilt is inbetween a reach and a medium for me I believe.
This is what I like about it (schools don't have to have all of these things)
*schools with a small urban setting nearby, but not smack IN the city
*schools with 6,000 people or less
*schools with an honor code (not as important as everything else)
*schools with high academic standards
*school spirit
*preferably with good music opportunities
*greek/non greek is ok
I'm interested in Biology and I haven't heard good things about Bio at Vandy so I'm looking for other options. Thanks so much!

Duke has all of that (6071 enrolled)... i dont know about honour code, but it has the rest, and is very good with biology. It would be a reach if Vandy is a medium-reach, but it's worth trying.

Wake Forest University is another good choice for you. It is around 4000 undergrad enrollment and is well-known for biology and pre-med programs. Its location in Winston-Salem is very nice, for the area has a lot of cultural offerings, as well as good shopping. The school spirit is incredible, especially since the athletic conference is the ACC - great for basketball!!!!
I attended WFU years ago and knew many students there who chose between Wake and Vandy, seeing as they were both quite similar.
You should at least check it out.

Have you tried the Counselor-O-Maic on the Princeton review site? It isn't perfect but lets you use all your stuff and spits out a list of schools that match. Sometime odd schools pop up but we also found several we would never have found without it.
