Can someone one rank these colleges by prestige?

Just for prestige:
1. Cornell/Columbia
3. Berkeley/Duke
5. Chicago/Northwestern
7. Harvey Mudd
They are all within a very close margin though.

Prestige is a tricky thing. For example, among most scientists, I would say that prestige woudl go like this:
1. Harvey Mudd
2. Berkeley
3. Cornell
4. Chicago
5. Columbia
6. Duke
7. Northwestern
So yeah, among students applying for college, everyone would have heard of Berkeley and Cornell would gain prestige points just by being in the Ivy League. But "prestige" in terms of getting into grad school or getting a job may be different, and closer to the list above for math/physical science.
So there you go.

P.S.
That ranking is just for undergraduate programs.

Not for all of them.

(1) Columbia
(2) UC Berkeley
(2) U. Chicago
(4) Cornell
(5) Duke
(6) Northwestern
(7) Harvey Mudd
This is pretty objective. Harvey Mudd is not at all a worse school than any of the others, but not everyone knows about it.
