I heard that Yale's academics in general is very cut-throat compared to Princeton and Stanford. Is that true? I know it varies and depends on your major, etc, but I would appreciate experiences and opinions. Thanks!

Not sure, but I hear that Cornell is the most academically-rigorous Ivy.

Cornell is definitely not the most rigorous Ivy. Yale, Stanford and Princeton are all cut-throat schools.

Cornell is a very hard school. And the academics will take the best prepared student for a ride. Yale is also quite challenging: It chose wisely not to follow in Harvard's path. Stanford has more grade inflation than Harvard. The Dean of Columbia Law School noted that the average undergraduate gpa at Stanford is a 3.4! And of course all of us know about Harvard. Princeton is challenging but not as hard as Cornell and Yale.
