Are there any great differences in the quality of eduaction you will get at any reasonably high liberal arts college? I'm interested in attending that type of school, and am trying to develop reasons as to why I would choose one liberal arts college over another.
Right now I'm interested in Reed, William & Mary, St. John's, and Haverford, but I want to apply to other LACs as good matches for me (I would probably consider Reed and St. John's as good match schools for me, with Haverford being more of a reach), so if anyone will be attending or is currently attending a LAC, or are planning to apply to one, tell me why you chose it. Thank you :).

If you are interested in Reed and St Johns I imagine you are also interested in core curriculum in which case you may look at U chicago

Actually yes, I am considering U Chicago (maybe even early action or decision), but I'd like to apply to some more undergrad-only LACs, and also ones that are not as difficult to get into as Chicago. Thanks for the input, I'm glad to have reaffirmed that the colleges I'm looking at are similar in many respects.

William & Mary is a mid-sized university with about 5000 undergrads if I recall. Although it has less emphasis on graduate programs, it would be more directly comparable to Emory or Vanderbilt than a small liberal arts college (typically around 2000 students). It actually seems to be a good combination, with a feel sort of halfway between the small liberal arts colleges and the mid-size universities.

Be careful using their overall SATs to determine reaches, etc. It's pretty difficult to get into from out-of-state.

Have you visited any of the school on your list? I would consider both Reed and St. John's to be more ~self-selecting~ than many other LACS; that is, both seem to attract rather unique students. *Very distinctive / one of a kind ambience at both of these schools.*
