Hmm people from the subcontinent usually start applying when theyre in they're second year of A Levels so you should do so too. You have time, but giving the TOEFL and SAT's right now is a good idea. Looking up on some colleges online ( i think USNEWS.COM and collegeboard.com and maybe kaplan ) should help. Secondly, scholarships arent easy so ask ure parents and figure out how much u'll be willing to spend on college in the states.

Top schools in the U.S. for journalism and communications:
Private larger universities: Syracuse University, Boston University, University of Southern Calif,New York University,Duke University,
American University.
Smaller private schools:
Ithaca College, Emerson College, Pepperdine, Carleton, DePauw University, , Loyola U. in Lousiana, College of Santa Fe in New Mexico. (Many other smaller schools also have programs, however)
The above schools would be most likely to accept a foreign student - as long as you can pay.
Public Universities with excellent communications/journalism programs: University of Maryland -College Park, University of Missouri, Colombia, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Ohio State-Columbus, University of Wisconsin - Madison, University of Oregon, Michigan State U.
This should help you get started - you can find out details about all of these schools by doing a search for them at either www.review.com or www.collegeboard.com
