GPA 3.89
SAT 1350 (720 Math, 630 Verbal)April 5th

freshman year- intro to chem/physics, integrated 2, spanish 1
sophomore year- honors english, honors history, chemistry, integrated 3, spanish 2
junior year- spanish 3, honors physics, math analysis, honors history

I'm a junior right now, and i'm not sure where to go. For the most part i'm leaning towards the university of washington, since it's in state.

My talent is in science and math, specifically in physics. I intend on retaking the SAT, and most of my B grades came my freshman year. I haven't taken any SAT 2 tests yet, or any AP for that matter.

Can anyone offer a suggestion?

Yes.

Sit down with your parents and kick around a couple of key issues: finances and how far away from home you are comfortable with.

Then, go to the bookstore and get a good comprehensive college guidebook like the Fisk Guide to Colleges or buy the $10 premium on-line US News college lists at their website. Start going through the colleges that make sense and see if any appeal to you.

In the meantime, take a couple of campus tours. You can get the times from the college website. No big deal, just show up at the appointed time and a college student herds the group around and pitches how great the school is. Try to do one at U of Wash, and maybe a small liberal arts college in the area so you can get an idea of what you like: small or large, rural or urban, frats or no, etc.

The guidebooks all give median SAT scores, you can get an idea if the college is in the ballpark for you.
