help i need to find a good safety...i won't post all my grades/stats etc cuz that just takes too long
but colgate is a safety for me, so i am thinking of one that is around colgates level in difficulty of acceptance + academic level. people have told me ones such as grinnell, colby, middlebury, bucknell etc, but i chekced them out and theyre not really ones i want ot go to. so here is the type of college i am looking for:
in the eastern half of the country /more than 2000 undergrad students altogether / co-ed/ need-blind/
not rural/ fairly strong pre-med or related depts./ has musical student activities / has at least 5% asian students.
anyone know a college that is around colgate's "level" and fits the above criteria?
thanx ~

How about BU, Brandeis, Syracuse? And i dont know who you've been talking to or what your stats are, but i really wouldnt consider middlebury or colby solid safeties.
Those three schools i listed are kind of on par with Colgate, maybe a little less competitive. I'm not sure about their asian population though.

a second for Boston University.
Not quite 2000 students (and you'd have to check to see if the music activities are what you are looking for) - Trinity (CT) and Macalester.

Actually, I think the poster meant Boston COLLEGE not Boston University - Boston College is the school with 2000 students. BU has over 12,000 students and is a totally different place.
Other safety schools with good pre-med/bio programs for you might include Dickinson, Franklin and Marshall, Holy Cross, Union, Gettysburg. You might also check out Rhodes College in Memphis - they have an excellent pre-med program and a good history of getting grads into med schools.

You might want to check out The University of Rochester.

William & Mary, but can't really be considered anyone's safety.
