Does anyone know which schools are "party schools"? I am going to grad school the year after the next, and I am sure I don't want to be around undergrads who just party all the time. By the way, I am talking about law school and/or PhD, so consider only top 17 schools in each list. I have a pretty good GPA and a neat LSAT score . So, any comment will be greatly appreciated.

princetonreview.com has various listing categories voted by students and party schools is one of them so you could check there. Nevertheless. I think you have a non-issue regardless of where you go. Graduate students usually do not stay in the same residences as undergrads (and very often have their own apartments). Also, if you are going to law school, you will be interacting mostly with other law students at a university and as a group most of them aren't going to be partying much -- there isn't much time for it. Similarly on the PhD level, you will be interacting mostly with other grad students who are also not into the undergrad partying scene.

Thank you for your comments.

Drusba, I asked that question also because I will have to be a TA during my second and/or third year. I really get annoyed when people are disinterested. Most party undergrads miss classes, miss assignment dues, and come to class without doing the necessary preparation. I will check out the website. Housing is not really an issue because, as you mentioned, I will have my own apartment.

A compelling reason why many of us want to know if Johnny is going to be taught by a real professor or a TA for his $25,000 a year tuition!
