This has long been a dilemma for me. I have send in deposits to both schools and I am just not sure which one to pick. I know some people who didnt get into UCSB but got into NYU and Madison, but Usnews and world report ranks UW-Madison much higher than UCSB. Which one is the right decision? Enlighten me. Please.

UC Santa Barbara's reputation, powered by its physics, engineering, and chemistry departments, is rising really fast. The weather in southern california is about 1593.5 times nicer than Madison.
By the way, US News is no Bible. Don't trust US News too much (don't trust bible too much either).
