Hello all,
i would appreciate any input from anybody on this subject. I was not able to go to school for the first 1 and half months of my senior year. my school said that since i missed so much, i would not be able to receive credit and my entire schedule would change. i offered to wait an entire year but that would still change my schedule. changing my schedule really affects my chances at a good college. i was wondering if it would be a good idea to do independent study from either a college or program for senior year and just get a high school diploma from them instead of my school. also, i would like to take the following courses:

AP Calc AB or BC (doesn't matter)
French 4th year
Physics 2nd year
English (preferably humanities or composition)
Gov't
Economics

all of these would be honors. any idea which program offers all of these courses AND a high school diploma??? PLEASE RESPOND. AM IN DESPERATE SITUATION AND AT END OF MY WITS.

I will be starting classes from Laurel Springs School shortly. I do not believe they offer all of these classes - I think languages only go to year 3, and physics (if they have year two) may not be honors. You can take Honors Calc, it is not AP but follows AP Calc AB standards = you could take the test perhaps. THey have an honors college english lit & comp, honors US Gov, regular Economics..

Maybe you could take classes there plus classes at a community college and get your diploma. The website is www.laurelsprings.com. It took me awhile to get enrolled, and i'm not sure if it's a good place, but I was ready to leave the public school system (I am also doing this for my senior year only)
