David Hawsey

David Hawsey is Vice President for Enrollment at Albion College in Michigan. Over the last two decades, he has served as a higher education administrator, guest speaker, consultant, and adjunct faculty member. He has held positions of director, dean, associate vice president and vice president in Carnegie-classified Baccalaureate colleges, Masters, Doctoral I and Research I universities nationwide. In addition to Albion College, David has served Drexel University, Penn State University, Pacific Lutheran University, and Juniata College. His responsibilities have included strategic planning and management in alumni relations, admissions, development, financial aid, and marketing. He also consults with private colleges and universities to develop integrated marketing plans for enrollment management, alumni relations, and fundraising. Additional positions in for-profit corporate communications, public relations, and information systems development have helped him to identify what both colleges and high school students should have in their "marketing toolbox." His unique insider perspective gives colleges, prospective students, and their families a crucial advantage during the challenging college-search process. With Dave Berry, David authored America's Elite Colleges: The Smart Buyer's Guide to the Ivy League and Other Top Schools, published by Random House-Princeton Review in August 2001.
